Dawn has been working for Dr Fogarty, at the Ulster
Hospital Dundonald since December 2002. She has also spent several
years working for the Northern Ireland Council for Postgraduate
Medical and Dental Education, based at Annadale Avenue, Belfast. |

Secretary Mrs Heather Wilson
Heather qualified in 1978 as a Member of the British Association of Medical Secretaries, Practice Managers and Administrators. She has extensive experience working for many years in Queen’s University, the National Health Service and the Northern Ireland Postgraduate Council. She has been Practice Manager in Glen House since 2004. |

Midwife
Priscilla Fergie
Priscilla is our lead midwife. She trained as a
nurse in the Ulster Hospital and qualified as a midwife in 1985
at the Western General Maternity Pavilion in Edinburgh. She returned
to Northern Ireland and worked for a short spell in the Maternity
Unit at Downpatrick Hospital, before returning to the Ulster Hospital.
In 1994 she began working in Glen House. Priscilla is a very experienced
midwife, with an enthusiastic interest in Breast Feeding and is
a very valuable member of staff at Glen House. |

Midwife
Laurie Rodgers
Laurie trained in the Royal Victoria Hospital and
qualified in 1975. Soon after she began her midwifery training,
qualified in 1977 in Royal Maternity and then worked in the neonatal
unit. Throughout her career Laurie has also worked in a number of
general areas including Intensive Care and Accident & Emergency.
She now works as a midwife in the Ulster Hospital Maternity Unit
and has a special interest in Woman’s Health, particularly
Menopause issues.
Laurie is a very experienced midwife and has worked at Glen House
for over 5 years.

Mary
Ellen Brown
Mary Ellen trained in the Royal Victoria Hospital
and qualified in 1983, proceeding to qualify as a midwife in 1987.
She has worked as a midwife in Carrickfergus, Larne, Antrim, and
Newtownards, Ulster Maternity Outpatients department and more recently
works within the Community. Mary Ellen has been a community midwifery
sister in Bangor for the past seven years and regularly teaches
evening parent-craft classes in addition to running an antenatal
clinic for a local GP practise.
Mary Ellen has a wealth of experience and in her three years of
working for Glen House has proved to be a skilled and popular midwife
with patients.

Ruth
Magill
Ruth trained as a paediatric nurse in Royal Belfast
Hospital for Sick Children. When she qualified Ruth worked in a
children’s cardiac unit for over 3 years. Following this she
worked in general theatres as a recovery nurse for both adults and
children. Ruth moved to the Ulster Hospital children’s department
when she had her family and has been there ever since. She works
in a very busy medical ward for children from small babies to children
up to 14 years of age.
Ruth’s knowledge and capabilities have been a great asset
to Glen House. |

Linda
Hogg
Linda trained in the Royal Victoria Hospital and
qualified in 1974. She moved to the Gynae Unit in Ards Hospital
where she gained 20 years expertise in Women’s Health. She
moved to the Day Procedure Unit where she assists with gynae and
other surgical procedures. Linda was instrumental in the establishment
of the Miscarriage Support Group in Ards and Ulster Hospitals in
1997, and was involved with it for 10 years. She is a great asset
to Glen House. |
